About the Programme:

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing its maiden National Animal Wellbeing Forum on 19 November 2025 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

India’s animal healthcare and nutrition sector is at an inflection point. The sector is being reshaped by rising pet ownership, the need for enhanced livestock productivity, and growing recognition of animal welfare within the broader One Health framework.

 

Alongside this growth, critical challenges remain—gaps in veterinary infrastructure, limited research capacity, regulatory hurdles, supply chain inefficiencies, and a shortage of skilled professionals. With the right policy support, targeted investments, and collaborative industry action, India can emerge as a global hub for innovation in animal healthcare and a trusted supplier of world-class products. This transformation holds the promise of delivering measurable value—not just for farmers and pet owners, but for the wider economy and society at large.

 

This year’s theme, “Convergence for a Healthier Tomorrow,” will explore this dual focus. The Conclave will highlight strategies to address immediate challenges while creating a robust ecosystem for long-term growth, resilience, and sustainability in the sector.
